OK Furnitures - BHM
Good People,
Some insight on this matter please:
So, i am recently ****med out of R4 000 at the OK Furniture Store in Bethlehem town. As i opened my first credit and was assisted by a lady A consultant. Of which she had mentioned that my first installment will have to be paid cash in the store.
Furthermore, as i proceeded to leave the store, a man X came running behind me saying he had been calling me as well as consultant A for me to come back to the store and to let me know that i need to pay deposit. I then mentioned to him that i am quickly going somewhere and will be back in the store to swipe the deposit, he told it had to be cash and naturally i believed him taking from what consultant A told me and proceeded to go draw the money from my bank. Mind you, this man X was wearing OK Furniture uniform. I then got back to the store and consultant A was busy with someone then i walked around the store while i wait. Man X then came to me and said to give him the money to go pay by the cashier and will bring my receipt while i am busy finishing up my release papers with consultant A. I handed him the money. I then was called by consultant A to finish up the signing. then she mentioned 'we are done'.. then i mentioned to her that i am waiting for my receipt from man X. With a pizzled face she asked who that is, i gave a name man X told me and she told me there is no one by that name in the store. So, i explained the situation and she told me that this happens quiet often and that she was sorry. i asked for the manager and asked to see some footage, of which i was told there are no cameras in the entire store except by the cashier. As flabbergasted and uphold as i was..i left because i could see that i was not going to get any help here. The following morning consultant A calls me and asks me to come in to finish up the contract and with no remorse said we need to finish it up. I then went into the store to finish up the contract as if nothing happened, waiting and thinking that the store would at the least take accountability and or even make arrangements to ward off that amount..let lone to be compensated by not paying first two installments or something of that nature. I proceeded to ask consultant A, that why is it that when they are aware of these impersonators in their store robbing people and knowing there are no cameras in the store, why is there no notice anywhere in the store or even by the window...or even why was i not made aware of such people being around. Since man X knew things that only consultant A would know about my purchase in the store. When the manager said she is the only one with access to the pc with the information, she denied the fact. Now, nothing to this date has been done and i am still expected to pay installment as if nothing has happened nor without any compensation on the matter.
Furthermore, a few days later after i received the furniture i had purchased, i informed consultant A of a missing part and asked that this be rectified. i was still not assisted timeously and made several calls over three days to be attended but kept getting *********** responses most of all because i am less that 500meters from the store itself and they could have just bring the part of swap with that which is correct. After some days i ended up taking the furniture to the store myself and asked that it be replaced and be given the part.
This is not nice and extremely poor service from the store and its employees let alone management.
