********** Customer Service: OK Furniture (Randburg Square)

On Sunday 28 Oct at about midday, I inquired about the various prices for TV sets however, when I walked out - a store assistant with a surname (Mthethwa) called me 'Rasta' because I have dreadlocks. This reference was used as an insult because of my choice in a hairstyle. When I reprimanded him, he told me that it is a Sunday and that I should be forgiving.

1. He assumed that I was Rastafarian. 2. He assumed that I am Christian.

In addition, Mr Mthethwa had the audacity to backchat and told me to 'feel free' to lodge a formal complaint against him.

I am a black woman and I am sick and tired of men disrespecting us because they think that they are superior. I would like for Mr Mthethwa to be sent for training with a focus on customer service as well as the constitution of the Republic of South Africa. It is certainly unconstitutional to mock religious groups in South Africa just because you are not part of that demographic.
