A very silly staff at OK Furnitures - Mdantsane City Mall

I'm a Social Development Official and I happen to be around when Phumezo George living with disability at N.U 15 Mdantsane with ID# *** said he wishes to open an account at OK Mdantsane City since he doesn't have a TV since we were once experienced a blast of a so called a transformer at our area as we happen to live in the same vicinity. But on this day the 04th of June 2026 he happened to mention his interest to go to OK retail furniture store and opened an account so that he can again own a TV. But what we didn't know was of him going there unprotected since he doesn't have anybody to trust as he's obliviously doesn't even trust his current girlfriend. Yet he mentioned all of that confidential information as his trustworthy confidante.

Then in him coming back from OK retail store in tears that he has eventually lost his Identity doc but knowingly that he is a disability person I offered to go with him to Mdantsane City OK retail furniture store as I presumably know where it is situated as I once had realization because I visit that Mall from time to time for my lunch. However, I must mention that I happen to work for Social Development I envisage to see Disabled People's rights respected.

Now we went to the store and as we enter the store we met with group of uniformed staff members without name tags gathered in a particular desk mostly females. I confront them about this type of abuse encountered by George they keep exchanging words in loud denialism but yet jokingly about this. It nis in that moment I show them the logo of my laptop to show them where I work so that they would stop taking this matter as a joke. Yet again they loudly laughing in big cheer. We left them to approach the desk that looked like a reception desk and enquire about a manager only then we showed a parallel desk with another female yet without a name tag.

I asked her name she told then I gave George a platform to narrate his story. The lady took his details after enquiring from another young man without a name tag. I ask this lady if it's a habitual culture not to wear name tags there she refuses to answer. I ask her name again as I already forgot whereby it was going to be easier if bit was visible tagged on her chest but blatantly refused to give me her name. I again picked up there were no cameras visible in the store as I mentioned it to her no wonder it's easier for their staff to do whatever willy-nilly there's evidence capturing devices hence I believed doing so bringing it here would suffice some kind of a relief from any kind of consumer abuse incurred by George or any other potential customer. No consumer rights should be violated like the way George's rights were violated especially him being a disabled person.
