Mustang Competition uncer*****y
OK Foods have just run a competition that offers a motor vehicle (Ford Mustang). Entrants were required to purchase certain goods in order to qualify. The competition has now ended and I took some time (a bit late!) to read the T's&C's because I was interested in finding out when the winner would be announced. Surprise surprise - there's a clause that lets the promoter cancel the competition without any notice and at any time. Certainly no commitment to a competition winner announcement date. I think this is in bad taste as some people entered in good faith that they would be in with a chance.

Please note that our Win a Bakkie and OK Liquor Win a Mustang competition ended on 27 December 2021 and it ends the more of less on the same date every year. I know you will sympathise with the fact that this is a very difficult time of year to get hold of a winner, in the holiday season. We do a random draw, and need to get a hold of the customer first before letting our winning store know. Sometimes we do not get a hold of a winner and we have to do a redraw. Sometimes the winner is not available for the handover of the prize, as they are on holiday. Which delays the posting of the winner.
We will review your suggestion and see how we can reword our T's & C's.
We will be posting the winner of the Mustang tomorrow, 26 January 2022. Please keep an eye on our social media pages.
