Barrydale OK closes during loadshedding!

I am wrotong this on behalf of the entire community, everyone is fed up. We live in a small town with OK Foods being the only actual retail shop in the area. Besides small Pakistani shops. Most of us now travel 44km to the nearest town to buy groceries else where. 1. Where in SA do you get a OK that closes when its loadshedding due to a generator being broken. Been for months like this. Power off. OK closed. Everything in shop is in any case defrosted and then frozen again. Recipe for food poisoning especially the meat that already arrives suspect from Mafikeng. Cold chain is broken for sure, every time. Expired old fruit and veg kept on display. Nothing new packed out. Every single item we have to ask for and one of the workers will go fetch it in the storeroom because it hasnt been packed out yet. The local staff working there is great. But management is not seen, and it is evident when you walk into the shop. The previous manager F**** was on top lf everything. On the floor, always ready to serve. Now the OK is more closed than open. With suspect food for sale. Surely the generator can be replaced after so long, if that really is the reason. They havent had chips, frozen chips, for about 6 months. Getting buns or bread in the afternoon, you have to hope and pray, also lettuce, tomatoes etc. About a year or two ago, a resident was informed she is the lucky winner of a possible prize, she will represent Barrydale in the draw to either win a car, double door fridge or other prizes. One day before the draw, the manager informed her she cant be part of the draw, as in the fine print it states she must have a valid licence. But really, she wasnt informed on that prior to be nominated. Does she need a licence if she win the freezer? Her father and mother have a licence and they would have driven around for her until she got her licence. This happened just after the new owners took over, and let me tell you, went downhill ever since. Can OK franchise be proud of this shop?
