Terrible service, terrible product delivery and zero accountability

Terrible Company:

1. I ordered and paid for this order (#1727) on 31 January 2022 2. Your website, unlike many other online delivery portals didn’t/doesn’t give you a delivery date. It’s pretty vague and explains that it’s anything between 3 and 14 working days 3. For the above-mentioned reason as well as my level of urgency I called in the following day and spoke with Leoni. 4. Leoni seemed sympathetic over the situation – we had a lovely conversation which included her telling me about your showroom in PTA and I explained that when I was in the area again I’d come to visit because I often set up my corporate clients’ offices spaces and I hadn’t realised that you do desks, etc as well. 5. Leoni explained that Payfast holds the money, and that by Tuesday the following week (08 February) they’d have the funds however because of my special situation she’d try to escalate this to her manager, after which she’d revert with feedback. 6. I did not hear back from Leoni until I called her back on 07 February 2022, 5 days after she said she’d get back to me. 7. Leoni said the exact same thing to me RE Payfast and escalating to her manager because of my situation. To which I reminded her that she had made the same promise to me the week before. This was an awkward conversation, I asked her to email me with feedback. 8. 25min later, still on 07 February Leoni mailed me to explain that they’d have feedback the following day, after processing Payfast transactions. And once this is processed they’d be able to provide me with a delivery ETA 9. On 11 February 2022 I sent another email to Leoni asking for feedback, which was 3 days after she said she’d revert 10. 5min later, still on the 11 February 2022 I received a response from Leoni explaining that she’s waiting on feedback from her manufacturers and that she’d revert as soon as possible. 11. On 13 February 2022 I sent an email where I included every E-mail address on your website explaining that if I don’t get the chairs by 15 February 2022 I’d want my money back. 12. On 16 February 2022 after not getting a response from my email or hearing back from Leoni RE the manufacturers feedback as promised, I gave my official instruction to refund me and to cancel the order. 13. 10min later, still on 16 February 2022 I received an email from Juandon pointing out point 6 in what looks like a screenshot of terms and conditions that possibly exists somewhere. He also promised that by the end of the day, he’d revert with details of my order and the delivery ETA. 14. Still that same day, 16 February 2022 - I rep**** explaining that my deadline for the chairs had been missed and due to all of the above-failed attempts to communicate clearly and effectively my decision to cancel the order stood firmly 15. Still that same day, 16 February 2022 - Johan responded to me explaining that the chairs would be ready in that same week I.e. week of 14 February to 18 February 2022. And that in his mind his staff have been communicating perfectly and that I was clearly the problem 16. On 17 February 2022 I requested once again, instructions on how to proceed with the refund – this is the last correspondence. Now, it’s been 24 business days or 32 calendar days since I transacted on your website and 18 business days since the Payfast clause (08 February 2022). I recently received a note on 24 February 2022 to say that my order is being shipped, 6 business days ago. Then on Tuesday, 01 March 2022 I received and email to rate my service and the product. Strange, I haven’t received the product or any service..

Oh and PS, you Terms and Conditions link is broken therefore not accessible on your check out page

Mr. Dayne Collings Chief Operating Officer of Blend Group. We have explained to you that the chairs were late since the biggest manufacturer of Office Chairs in South Africa was waiting for components. It was detailed to you in e-mail. You were very arrogant by insulting me to say that I do not understand English while I was explaining the situation. Now that the goods are at the transporter you want to cancel the order. The order is a few days late and we as a wholesaler could not do anything about it. It was explained numerous times to you in e-mails that the products get manufactured and that it is not a shelf item. Maybe, the way Capetonians understand English is different, but you have a lack of understanding the manufacturer who is Seating problem with the components that were late.

Read point 11 - I explained that I wanted a refund by 15 February already.

Not, "Now that the goods are at the transporter".

The fact that you've let it carry on this far with your manufacturer and transport company is your fault.

Please see the letter below to you. Maybe the problem is with the English. The Goods were delivered yesterday afternoon.

Hello,

I have spoken with the manufacturer. There was a delay with components, and we will receive the two chairs tomorrow. It will then go down with Campos Transport.

Order placed: 31st January 2022
Money Released: 9th February 2022
14 working days from the 9th of February 2021 will be the 1st of March, 2021

Kelly from Seating (Pty) Ltd. the manufacturer explained now to me why the chairs were late, and I understand fully.

The Chairs will go tomorrow to Campos Transport in Linbro Park. The Truck is leaving on Friday and will arrive in Cape Town on Saturday. The chairs can be collected at the depo on Monday, or they will deliver on Tuesday, latest Wednesday.

Hope you will find the above in order.

Regards
DC

This is where I eject myself from the conversation, and I apologize maybe it's not a question of English, I think it's more about a lack of ability to see things logically. I thought providing you with a list that's neatly numbered would help.

It's 18 business days since it was communicated to me that the money would be released by Payfast - either way, it's not for you to understand by your supplier why a delivery would be late. It's for your customer to be okay with it, which I was not. Secondly, nowhere does it explain that the 3 to 14 business day lead time is subject to receiving the money from Payfast. Therefore it's actually been 24 business days since I made payment - this translates to being 10 days late in the eyes of Consumer Protection.

You have no terms and conditions, wherever it may exist is invalid due to it being inaccessible at your check-out page.

In your spare time, enjoy the readings of The Consumer Protection Act.

08 February to 03 March is 18 days.

In your previous comment, you said it's been 14 days, now you're saying it's been 16 days... so you are getting closer - just a couple of days off.
