Promises, lots of promises that never materialise
Kudos to the people who have received good service from these people. Despite reading bad reviews about this company, I decided to give them a benefit of the doubt. I placed an order for a bookshelf (late evening on 14th May) and received an email confirmation on the 15th of May, with payment coming off my account on the 17th of May. Then on the 21st of May, I received an email notification saying: "The status of order #**** is now Awaiting Shipment". At that point, I thought "this is great, some progress", I even started unpacking my books from boxes. Unfortunately, that was the end of any news from Office Stock. After a few trials on the landline given on the website, I managed to speak to Leoni. I sent her an email on the 24th of May asking about the delivery of my order. On the 2nd of June, she told me that the bookshelf would be delivered on the 10th of June. At the end of the day on the 10th of June, I made her aware that there had been no delivery. She rep**** on the 14th of June, apologising and promising to find out why there was a delay. At that point, I was already quite agitated and my response was that I was not interested in why there was a delay, but would just like my money back. On the 18th of June, her reply said that my order would be delivered "as soon as possible by early next week". Assuming that 'early next week' meant Monday or Tuesday, which of course did not happen, I wrote to her again on the 23rd of June telling her that if the manufacturers are waiting for the trees to grow, I would rather have my money back and asked her who I needed to talk to about my refund. She gave me a phone number and an email address for someone by the name of Juandon. I duly sent an email to Juandon and followed up with a phone call. On two occasions, the phone was answered by Leoni, who told me that Juandon was not in the office. When I asked her why she gave me that number knowing well that she would answer the phone, her response was that it is because they are moving offices. None of this makes sense to me, and now that I have reviewed them here, I doubt that I will receive either my money back or the bookshelf.
