Dear Sir/Madam, I respectfully submit this formal complaint against National Debt Association (Pty) Ltd regarding what I believe to be misleading conduct, misrepresentation, unfair business practices, and the ******** initiation of a debt review process, which has caused me significant financial prejudice. On or about 21 July 2026, I received a telephone call from representatives of National Debt Association. During the conversation, they created the impression that they were acting on behalf of, or in association with, the National Credit Regulator (NCR). I was informed that I had been identified because I was maintaining my debt repayments well and that they could assist me. Based on these representations, the company proceeded to obtain limited information from my credit profile/ClearScore. However, they did not conduct a proper affordability assessment or adequately determine whether I was over-indebted before initiating the debt review process with my credit providers, including Standard Bank. When I realised the implications of the process, I immediately requested that it be cancelled. Standard Bank advised me that the necessary debt review cancellation documentation was required from the debt counsellor. Despite numerous attempts to contact National Debt Association on their published telephone number, ***, the company has remained unreachable and has failed to provide any assistance or guidance. It is deeply concerning that a company can successfully communicate with financial institutions to place a consumer under debt review, yet become completely inaccessible when the consumer seeks assistance to rectify or cancel a process that was initiated under misleading circumstances. As a direct result of the company’s conduct, I have suffered financial inconvenience, unnecessary stress, and restrictions on my banking facilities. I believe that consumers are entitled to transparent, lawful, and ethical treatment, and that businesses operating within the credit industry should be held accountable when they fail to comply with the law and accepted standards of professional conduct. I respectfully request that your office investigate this matter as a matter of urgency and determine whether National Debt Association (Pty) Ltd has comp**** with all applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and consumer protection principles. I further request that appropriate intervention be taken to: * Facilitate the immediate cancellation of the debt review process where applicable. * Ensure that any incorrect or misleading information submitted to credit providers and credit bureaus is rectified. * Investigate the conduct of National Debt Association (Pty) Ltd for possible contraventions of applicable legislation and regulatory requirements. * Take any enforcement or corrective action deemed appropriate should any wrongdoing be established. I confirm that I am in possession of documentary evidence, correspondence, call records, and other supporting information, which can be provided upon request to assist with your investigation. I kindly request written acknowledgement of receipt of this complaint together with a reference number and feedback on the steps that will be taken to investigate this matter. Thank you for your attention to this serious complaint. I trust that your office will give this matter the urgent consideration it deserves. Yours faithfully, Thabang Ngwenya Cell: ***

Don't try and complain about consumer abuse tho this organisation. I found their contact info online. Wrote two emails to different dresses on the web page , all came back. Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: Then tried calling, first i was number 4 in the que to be connected then suddenly I was number 8 in the que, FIVE minutes later I was number 8 and that's when I ended the call. We are being ripped-off left right and centre and the body to protect the consumers is in cahoots with BIG business Don't bother using the email address provided it does not exist *** ***
