Terrible Setup Experience
As per my VOX review I guess Octotel is also to blame. Great company to deal with if you want no communication or to not know whether to sit at home and twiddle your thumbs while waiting for them or not. Octotel employees saying the other team will be there an hour-2 later so you sit and wait and realise you've been had. I wish there was an alternative solution and as soon as I'm able, I won't have to deal with this dog company.
Depressing state of dealing with VOX I had such high expectations from my past experiences with VOX. The first connection in JHB through TTConnect went smoothly, and it brought me happiness. However, expecting the same experience in Cape Town was a disappointment. The severe lack of communication from both ends is deeply disheartening. It leaves me in a state of uncer*****y, unsure whether to stay at home or venture out. If I go out, they might show up without warning, and if I'm not present, who knows when they'll return? So, I find myself just sitting at home, hoping they'll fulfill their promise to finish up the work they said they would yesterday. Trying to get clarity by contacting Octotel only leads to them redirecting me to my ISP, and my ISP directs me back to Octotel, creating an endless loop. All I want is a straightforward answer about whether I should wait at home or receive an estimate for the installation. It's frustrating to see that even with a long-standing relationship with the ISP, they seem indifferent, and their WhatsApp support leaves much to be desired. The "please hold while we connect you to an agent" message was just a tease, as they only responded the next day after I inquired. If I ever had the chance, I wouldn't choose this service again and might start looking elsewhere. Despite previously recommending VOX to friends and family, I can confidently say they've let their standards drop. The WhatsApp support, as I mentioned, is nothing short of a joke, offering no substantial help.
