I feel trapped and ******

<p>In the year 2013 i had to do my internship and i was gonna earn a lesser salary than what i was earning at Capitec bank so I visited an old mutual branch in order to get assistance with my debts. I had accumulated debts which amounted to R75 000. The following day I received a call from hyphen octogen where they informed me that they have received my application for consolidation. They then informed me that they can help. They told me to come to their offices which are located in corner of Pine and field street. I visited their offices with my payslip, ID and proof of residence, they explained to me the processes and procedures. They stated that they can consolidate all my debts, that I cannot open any account during the consolidation, finally we came to an agreement of an installment of R1545 for a period of 5 years. They then gave me a long document to sign, where they told me that its just paperwork confirming what they told me verbally. According to what was explained to me, i could cancel it anytime i can afford to pay on my own make it a shorter period and be able to apply for anything once i can afford. When I went to check that in August last year when i got a permanent job wth a good salary so i could now afford to pay without being on tht agreement of not being able to apply for anything than i was told it was actually debt review and they cannot get me out because of some law that was registered sometime last year. I told them that but i can now afford and why wasnt i told its actually debt review? Went to check my debts with my debt creditors and seemingly for the past 3 years they are still the same. I called them spoke to Sanele Gumede and i tried going to court because of him the guy from their customer service said i should go there and ask for my file and he'll assist me ... they said they cant give me the file i should go to those lawyers that did the application and i called back Sanele Gumede from customer service and he said those are their lawyers they wont assist me... i should wait and they will get back to me. I have been calling them for about 2 months sorting this out but they are refusing to assist me. I got a certain lawyer i paid R1500 cause he said he can assist. He said i should stop them from deducting on my account cause they are just not doing anything ... after i did that i got emails with threats and messages and calls that Octogen is gonna cancel their contract with me if i dont make payment... i rep**** and even gave them a call asking that if you can be able to cancel the debt review then why did they refuse when i asked for this? Now that they are not getting any money they are threatening me and they want to mess up my name for no reason... after that the lawyer also tried milking me more money R7000 which i ddnt have... i am so stuck with my life and i do not know what to do in order to get out from this debt review
