Octa refund
My other deposited money she owed me into my octa account using my reference. Octa declined stating it needed to come from my own bank account. I have sent prrof of payment for refund but that is not good enough. They want my mother's bank statement which reflects the details and the more I explain that the Nedbank bank statement does not show the beneficiary details it only reflects he value and my personal reference. Refund is therefore impossible and octa has just ****** me of 500

We’re truly sorry for the frustration this situation has caused and completely understand how disappointing this must be for you.
Please rest assured that your concerns have been taken seriously. Our Finance team is actively reviewing your case and, in line with international Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations followed by all regulated financial institutions, has requested additional documentation to proceed.
As the deposit was made from an account not under your name, we are required to verify the sender’s bank details before any refund can be processed. To move forward, our Finance department has requested a PDF copy of the bank statement showing the sender’s name and the specific transaction, so we can confirm the origin of the funds.
We want to reassure you that our intention is not to withhold your funds, but to ensure they are securely returned to the correct source while complying with regulatory obligations. Once we receive the required documentation, we’ll do our best to assist in completing the refund.
Please send the documents to *** or reach out via live chat for quicker assistance.
Thank you for your patience and understanding—our team is here to support you every step of the way.
Kind regards,
Octa Rep.
