I completed my TEFL Level 5 diploma with The TEFL Academy (TTA). While still being with Nuvora for almost 7 months waiting to pass all my assessments for one of their partner schools. Today marks the start of the first classes I have taught for their partner institution which goes by the name Xinsheng . I don’t have much to say yet on the treatment as a friend of mine who was also hired by one of Nuvora tutors partner schools complained about how ****** her students are and also when she complained about it there was no one who could help.

No placement & no communication
My profile has been registered with Nuvora tutors for a while now, precisely, for about four months. Within this period, my application has been submitted to two partner schools. The second one was Wenhua Primary School, and I was previously notified that the feedback was delayed due to the summer holiday schedule. The last message I have got weeks ago was asking if I was still available so that my profile could be submitted to another partner school due to a prolonged response from Wenhua Primary. I have sent several emails even a WhatsApp message confirming that I am very much interested and ready for my profile to be submitted to new schools. Unfortunately, there has been no response to my follow-up messages. Seeing your recent job post on Indeed, I had to reapply and reconfirm my availability which I am already in your list of candidates. Hellopeter is now my last resort at this point. I would appreciate an update on my profile.

Unacceptable treatment!!
I thought I was only who had a sudden unfair deduction from my salary. I have also been working for hua Mingde high school. I was sick a bed ridden for one day I had to go to hospital. I sent the school proof of me being hospitalised etc. this was last month. Haai $450 taken off my salary. I was left with $700 at the end of the month. Then I we speak to the manager on WeChat she says there’s nothing they can do. No Nuvora Tutors. We need to be placed with a different partner school this is unacceptable!!!

Get better partner schools
I was placed with one of their partner schools in China. Hua Mingde High School. Everything was going great with regards to classes etc. then on the 4th month there was $300 USD deducted from my salary due to me missing only 3 classes and this was due to me needing to attend to a family emergency. I had asked Nuvora Tutors to asssit and they said they will reach out to the school but it’s been 2 weeks and still nothing good has come out of it. I would advise anyone that gets placed into Hua Mingde High School to be very wary. I also budgeted for my birthday to have that extra $300 dollars and I was disappointed to find out I was paid $300 dollars short.

Get better partner schools

I’m updating my previous 1-star review because I completely misjudged this company. After seeing a few negative reviews online, I wanted to see how things actually played out for myself. I decided to wait until my first paycheck hit my account from Wenhua Primary School before writing this, and I'm so glad I did. A huge thank you to Nuvora Tutors, and especially to Ayesha! She put in so much hard work for me. I literally failed my final demo lessons four times with four different schools. By the time I got to the fifth school, I missed the deadline, but Ayesha managed to get me an extension. I finally passed, and getting that first salary of $1,400 USD was a feeling I can’t even describe—especially since my highest previous salary was R7,000.Just a heads-up to future applicants: you won't magically get a job instantly. It takes real effort. A friend I referred got placed super fast, but she already had her Level 5 TEFL and plenty of experience. I didn’t have my TEFL yet, so I had to study for the course while doing my school assessments for their partner schools

After completing my level 5 they went radio silent
After completing my level 5 they went radio silent. Last communication was on the 15th of July with a promise of an update within 2 weeks. No response to emails. I’m hoping I can also get some answers like Koketso did, it’s fascinating that she even gets an update here on Hello Peter and I can’t even get a reply. Please open the WhatsApp line or something, we can’t all be complaining about lack of communication and still nothing being done about it.

Credit must be given
My mother always taught me that credit must be given where it's due — and this is one of those times. This review is long overdue. Two of my cousins, who are basically like sisters to me, were referred to Nuvora Tutors and were both successfully placed at partner schools in South Korea. They then referred me. But before writing anything, I wanted to see for myself whether the agency's claims about their partner schools were true. So I waited six months after my own placement before putting this down. Everything has exceeded my expectations — especially coming from a very small town in Limpopo, where opportunities are scarce. I do want anyone reading this to understand the full picture. I referred five other family members and two friends to Nuvora Tutors. None of them passed their stage-2 assessments. They were given the same training guides and preparation as everyone else, but the schools and institutions make the final decision, not the agency. That's just the reality of the process. I've also seen others mention that communication could be improved, and I'd agree that's an area with room to grow. But what I can say honestly is that they never left me behind. I passed many stage-1 and stage-2 assessments and failed many stage-3 assessments. I was given extensions and support along the way, and in the end I was placed with a private school in mainland China. Nuvora Tutors hasn't just changed my life — it has changed the lives of people in my family too. This is my side of the story and my own experience. I can't speak for anyone else's, but I also wouldn't want anyone to miss out on an amazing opportunity. I'm certain Nuvora Tutors will grow into something bigger than we've ever seen, especially given how many lives they've already changed. My family and I will always be eternally grateful.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
