Review of Altech NuPay – Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated

During the beginning of May 2025, my mother received a call from an agent at Altech NuPay, who offered to consolidate her debts under an agreement that she would pay R500 monthly, with the first debit set for the end of June 2025. My mom agreed to these terms, but to our shock, they debited the money at the end of May — a full month earlier than agreed.

We immediately emailed them to request a refund and the cancellation of the agreement. Despite several emails and voicemails, there was no response. We also tried calling multiple times, but each time we were told we would be transferred to the relevant department, which never happened.

To make matters worse, another debit went off today (June 28th, 2025), even though we’ve repeatedly contacted them. One of their female agents even had the audacity to give us attitude, asking sarcastically, “Why are you calling at this time of the month?” — extremely unprofessional and disrespectful, especially for a company handling financial matters.

This entire experience has been stressful, disappointing, and *********. They broke their own agreement, ignored our communication, and treated us poorly. We strongly warn others to be careful when dealing with this company. We demand: A full refund of both unauthorized debits. A formal cancellation confirmation. An apology for the unprofessional behavior. Until these are addressed, we cannot recommend Altech NuPay to anyone.
