Threatening SMSs received out of the blue.

<p>I have been dealing with Norton Lambrianos for a couple of years now. They have been managing a credit card debt that I have with ABSA.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have had a payment arrangement in place, which I have been honouring every month, which was agreed with Norlam.</p> <p> </p> <p>No attempt has been made to contact me for some time other than the usual confirmation of receipt of payment.</p> <p> </p> <p>Out of the blue I received the following two SMSs today:</p> <p> </p> <p>NLA-SUMMONS will now be processed for Sheriff to come serve you COURT documents .We need payment of the outstanding balance ,as at 21/02/2017 of R 17653.34 to stop the processing of JUDGMENT( Sell your goods at Public Auction) Call ********** 609 for further details *** ABSA CREDIT CARD</p> <p> </p> <p>ABSA BANK LIMITED Card NLA-Banking details R 17653.34 is due by Saturday 25/02/2017to pend further legal action. Email ********** .ABSA BANK Norton Lambrianos, Randburg Branch - 505705 or 632005 Acc No : ********** 0572. Kindly quote our ref no TN134782 FAX ********** 058</p> <p> </p> <p>Obviously, these messages come as quite a shock and the tone of them both is incredibly threatening.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have not been able to contact Norlam to discuss this as the contact number given fails.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
