No reply and no settlement letter as promised

I am so upset they sent me a settlement offer and I paid it before the deadline. I paid into my account but phone them and as do they see the money or can locate it. An they said that they can see the payments I must wait 14-21 days for my settlement letter and now I get mail they are not the accountant on the account and that I have not paid the settlement.
