Atrocious Experience with Norton Lambrianos Attorneys

On 14 June 2017, I was called by a Norton Attorneys representative called Sibusiso who made mock of his job ethics and created an atrocious image of how his company does business for the ABSA Bank Company. I have been unemployed and dealing with Norton Attorneys for a while. On this day Sibusiso called me while driving and I told him I'm driving, is this an emergency? He disregarded that and continued to security questions and I asked why do you want to know this (given my previous statement), he skipped those questions and said "you have not paid your bill" that’s why he's calling, in an improper tone. I then informed him of the reasons and that he told me to call him back once I have received the necessary documents, which was not delivered yet. He then continued to speak to me in an aggressive manner neglecting customer service manners which was very disrespectful. No one has the right to speak like to this to anyone irrespective. I asked him why was he upset and if this affected his income (as I would have understood being in that situation), he told me "that this is on his books and he wants to close this because he’s dealing with this for a too long" in the same tone. I then asked him again "what about your customer service, you don't have to talk to me like that", he laughed out loud to mock what I had just said. I then told him he has always been good speaking to me on the phone what changed today, "you have not kept to the agreement" he said. He then continued to talk to me in the same manner and said "the sheriff of the court is coming to my house and WILL be attaching my properties". I asked is this a definite because this contradicts his previous information rendered, he said "yes" without finding out if a summons was issued. He initially informed me to call him back once I received summons and he will kindly direct me given my situation. I then told him be careful not to give me the wrong information as the calls are required. Then he responded and said "it will be issued and then it will follow to the sheriff". This was clear that he was supplying me with false information to force pay by creating the impression that my personally belongings are now in jeopardy. This was proof he gave me the wrong information on purpose. I then said, I don't want to talk to him, I want to speak to his manager, he refused to let me speak to her. He said "NO", why do I want to talk to her, he is dealing with this call and he must continue to because there is no reason I need to speak to his manager. I told him, it is okay I will call in and speak to his manager, what is the name. Sibusiso said "Thuli is her name but you cannot speak to her now because she is knocking off". At the end of the call he hung up on me while I was still telling him there is no reason to speak without manners. I then received a sms in the evening stating “call Norton attorneys to make an arrangement to avoid summons” which again contradicted his initial statement.

No company has the right to speak to people in a condescending manner irrespective of the situation. This creates a very negative image and drives people away from that company, ABSA Bank.

I am taking a leap here as this is a private situation but it's worth it if I can curb this behaviour away from others who are unfortunately in the same situation. I have been a client with ABSA for over 10 years and I am absolutely livered by the misrepresentation by Norton Attorneys.
