NORTHRAND ROAD ANIMAL HOSPITAL
Northrand road animal hospital has been taking care of my four-legged children for many years. Not only are they professional and always ready to help, but the staff goes that extra mile to make me and my babies feel part of the family. They know each of my pets, take care of them with love and gentleness as if it is their own pets. They have stood by me and my family through new pet additions to health scares, cat-fights and the sad passings of a few of our beloved pet-children. From the friendly office staff, to the vet assistants and doctors, each one showed love and empathy when needed. Not to mention the follow up calls to ask about our sick animals' progress and true interests in the health of our pets. On several occasions I took my cat or our beloved pug to them and if the doctor on duty was not 100% comfortable with the diagnosis or if it was a complicated case, they called in the oppinion of a second doctor. Over the time span of more than15 years, I only ever received good treatment at Northrandroad Animal Hospital. For me and my four-legged kids, they are like family! THANK YOU, for always being there.

Northrand road animal hospital has been taking care of my four-legged children for many years. Disgusted, is an understatement.
My family and I have been clients / patients at this vet for many years. I can't say they've never been helpful, but their service levels have absolutely gone into the gutters since Dr. Hannah and Dr. Liv left. I would highly recommend you rather take your pets to Craigview Veterinary Clinic, they have so many more skilled doctors available and so many more facilities to help you with your needs. We've recently had a terrible experience where one of our babies passed away because a "SENIOR DOCTOR" refused to do xrays on him when we asked her to. His pain and diagnosis was delayed and he therefore couldn't get to specialist at Bryanston Veterinary Hospital sooner than he did, resulting in more complications and his passing. There are younger doctors who work at this vet who don't know how to keep their personal life separate from their professional. We experienced this first hand before as well and our dog who was critical at that time, almost didn't get the consult she was promised because of this. Trying to get hold of the owner is an even bigger issue. I've emailed an official complaint on 19/12/2025 and still no response. Not sure if Dr. Conradie goes through the hiring process with her eyes closed, but the doctors are not what they should be. Therefore, we have taken our business to Craigview Vet and will utilize Bryanston Vet for any overnight stays as they provide 24 hour monitoring, and have many more facilities and skilled, knowledgeable doctors available. After years of spending thousands at this vet, adopting animals through this vet, I cannot believe they are so willing to lose customers. Our new vet has already picked up a very serious illness in one of our dogs that was never picked up by NRR. They are more than happy to dish out chronic medication over extended periods of time, without ever consulting with the animal again to ensure the meds are working, or making sure that any new issues have come to light. They wait until we as the parents notice something is wrong with the animal before consulting with them, by that time it could be too late. You guys need to do better but know this, you'll never see a cent from us again. 👍
