Very Poor Customer Service!!!
Very Poor Customer Service from Nissan South Africa.
My Finance took her vehicle in for service yesterday after she had booked a day before to do the service on Friday.
When she called in to the service department and gave her details for service she was not told her service plan had just expired a week ago. Also yesterday when we took the vehicle to the Nissan Service center in Umhlanga to book in for Friday Service we were not told again that the vehicle service plan had expired, We left the vehicle there after being checked in and came home. Please note i had to make arrangements to have someone to pick me up from Nissan because they do not pick up and drop off because of covid. After going home i received a call saying that the vehicle service plan was expired on the 13th of April 2021. Thats so un professional cause i had to make arrangements with another person to bring me back to Nissan to see what was going on.
My service last year was due in April 2020 and due to covid lock down i only took my vehicle in for service in August 2020. So to my knowledge it was suppose to be due for next service in August 2021. But because i bought the vehicle in April i decided to take it in the April month.
The beginning of April was hectic for me as we were exposed to someone that had contracted covid 19 so we had to self isolate for 2 weeks with not going anywhere. So when we finally were sure of no symptoms the we decided to take vehicle in for service. And to our surprise we were shocked to learn that Nissan couldn't do anything for us. We even tried calling customer service to plead leniency but still no joy.
We have 2 vehicles with Nissan and have always been a Nissan fan but after this latest experience we will not be dealing with Nissan ever again. This is totally pathetic service from Nissan. They couldn't even be lenient with us due to Covid 19 and this national pandemic.
