Unacceptable fitment standards (Tow-bar)

I purchased a new Nissan X-Trail in May 2015 from Springs Nissan and ordered a few extras on the vehicle including a tow-bar which cost R5458.32. The tow-bar was very low and didn't look right but being convinced it would be fine as I bought the car new and from a Nissan dealership I reckoned that all would be well as the technicians would have the proper know how. The tow-bar kept hitting the ground especially on bumps. I took it to Nissan Centurion to ask if they could help, and although Wessie and the crew was very helpful, they obviously failed to do proper inspection and quoted me R5858.41 for a new tow-bar.<br> <br> I then took of for the December holiday with my safari trailer to the KNP (first time towing with the tow-bar) and had a horrible experience as the trailer leaned heavily on the vehicle as the tow-bar is so low and was towing with difficulty. Luckily I have family in Hoedspruit who directed me to HiQ in Hoedspruit who, after a quick but thorough inspection, informed me that the tow-bar was fitted grossly improper. Would I have towed something heavier I might not have been here writing this.<br> <br> Thanks to Petrus at HiQ Hoedspruit who refitted the tow-bar, all is sorted out!
