The car i was sold by Nissan Automall has been nothing but a frustration and inconvenience.

Bought a Nissan Magnite at Nissan Automall in East London on the 30th April 2024. I was informed by my insurance company that I needed to have a tracking system installed on the vehicle, it was a Nissan requirement. Indeed, I arranged to have that fitted. During the process of fitting the tracking device, the technician working on the vehicle came to me with a picture showing that the leather on the car behind the radio device was cut/damaged but wanted to show and inform me before he could proceed with what he had to do on the car. On 07 May 2024, I noticed that the car was showing a warning message "Breaking System Fault", I communicated this with the dealership and I was advised to go back to the tracking company to have the tracking device disconnected and monitor the behavior (for a week or two) after the disconnection. I did that, which I found to be an inconvenience on my side. I monitored the car and informed them that the car was still showing the warning message even after the tracking device was disconnected. They advised that I book the car in for assessment. I booked the vehicle in for assessment, to which I was updated in the afternoon that the dealership would like to keep the vehicle overnight. I have kids to pick-up and drop to school. This was another inconvenience. I expressed this to the dealership and the resolution was that I collect the vehicle but bring it back again as they needed to charge the battery. I collected the vehicle. On the next day, brought the vehicle again, but because they had started working on the car already, I assumed whatever they needed to do on the car would not take a lot of time. I must also state that i did enquire the previous day the estimated time they needed with the vehicle but they could not confirm. I checked the car in at 8:30 am , and waited. Only at 12:15 I asked for an update. I was referred to the Manager (Mark) to whom i expressed my issue and frustration. The manager explained that the car needed to be charged for at least 9 hours before they could test. He further said, raising his voice annoyed, that they were charging a car battery, not a cellphone battery. Therefore, it would not take 5 minutes. In response to me saying that I needed to go home and pick up the kids, he told me that he was not running a transport service. He concluded our discussion by saying that he would find out from the technicians when they were back from lunch if it was possible to test the battery. They tested the battery only to find out that the battery was faulty/damaged and needed replacing. I could've sat for 9 hours waiting for them to charge a damaged battery. Another inconvenience. Again, I had to go to the battery center for a replacement, another inconvenience. I still have to monitor if the replacement of the battery addresses the issue of the warning that pops up. If it continues to show, I have to come to these people again, for the same issue. It has been a horrific experience. I don't know if I should advise against buying a Nissan Magnite, or buying from the Nissan Automall dealership, or both.
