Terrible Service at Nissan East London

Service at Eastland Nissan East London sucks at best!!! My parents took their X-trail (automatic)in last year for a problem that was diagnosed as a gearbox issue and that it requires a replacement. After a lot of back and forth (story for another day) and the car is still under warranty, my parents were able to take the car home after 6 weeks. Barely a year later the problem is back. They took the car back to Nissan and were told they would look at it when they did the service which was due the following week. After the service, they called my parents that the car was fixed and *****ulently almost made my retiree dad sign that the car was good to go and he should pay. When he asked specifically about the problem, they said they only serviced the car. He refused to go home with the car and refused to pay until everything was completed. He left the car with them. The next day the so-called manager, Mark Lentz, called my dad, shouting and rudely demanded that my dad come and pay for the service. He threatened that he would not call Nissan South Africa nor submit the necessary report for the gearbox to get fixed. My dad went there and paid for servicing the car but left it there as the problem was not fixed. There has so far been no update on the car. My question is how does a brand-new gearbox on an automatic car fail within a year? The car has driven less than 8000 km in the last year. Surely they didn’t fix it properly and they need to answer for that. The least they could do is be nice but instead, they are threatening old people and *****ulently trying to trick them into taking back a car that was not fixed. Nissan South Africa should be asking them what they did last year. My parents are currently stranded and they need their car ASAP. I am hoping Nissan SA can swiftly intervene to resolve this.
