Shocking service from Nissan South Africa
To express my dissatisfaction with Nissan South Africa would be an understatement. In October after a minor accident which went in for repairs at a Nissan approved panelbeater I was told that there was a delay on the right headlight. I was told there would be delays in shipping of the parts from Europe by a few weeks due to COVID-19 (understandable). 2 months later and still Nissan can't give me an estimate time of arrival of the part nor can they be sure the correct part is on it's way due to some long winded story about discontinuation of parts.
The latest update is that they will arrive in February (this date also keeps changing) and yet Nissan has made no attempt to source a part from anywhere, off another vehicle, from other written off vehicles or showroom vehicles.
The question is, how is Nissan allowed to sell vehicles without having a stock pile of spares in case there are part failures or accidents. How can you sell a car if you can't repair them.
Suggestions to remove a headlight from stock that isn't moving have fallen on deaf ears and I was told if they do so they can't sell the car then.... Surely you should be making sure your own clients are satisfied and looked after?? So I am car-less for months on end while I'm still paying insurance and a car repayment for it to sit in a warehouse.
To those looking for a new Nissan Micra, don't touch them, Nissan can't look after it's customers and repair them!!!!
