Rusty Chrome beading nightmare!!
Feb 2015: purchased top of the range Qashqai. On leaving dealership salesman Nicolas Knight notes that the chrome trim on the vehicle is a bit rusty but he'll sort it out. I took car in, he took pics & said he would claim from warranty. By April he still hadn't -when I called him to find out he said he had left dealership. I went personally & claim was submitted and approved. Charleen (service advisor) said beadings must be removed from car while they would be inspected - i refused to drive with a defaced vehicle &when new part arrived it took it in to Benoni IC Nissan for replacement. New chrome hooked on my clothes &i discovered that most of the window beadings were not properly fitted & would come off. Took it back in May & was told a new warranty claim would be made. After waiting for two months for a call from Charleen i called & was told the claim was closed for that financial year end & would be opened again after 1 July. I had to call again after no feedback to find out. I was told that the beading would have to be removed & sent to PTA for \inspection"before a decision would be made. No courtesy car will be provided. Poor refection on Nissan SA. Very unhappy customer!!"""
