Pathetic /Non existing after sales service from Nissan .

Bought a Nissan X Trail second hand from NTT Bloemfontein R240 000.00. After just 5 months had clutch problems. Car towed in and received a quote for 21 K to repair.

After Speaking to both workshop and Sales manager they still refuse to take my hand and assist me. The sales manager compares buying a car and having clutch failure to buying a tracksuit and the zip failing.

After the initial call saying its normal wear and tare the workshop manager phones back and said that someone might have driven with he foot on the clutch .

Escalated my problem to Nissan SA. after their initial call stating that 108k KM is normal for a clutch replacement i'm still waiting for them to get back to me. To this moment i'm still waiting. Almost a week since the initial problem

This will be the last Nissan i ever drive . And strongly suggest no one buys Nissan unless they plan on replacing Clutch every 100000 km's at a cost of R21000.00

Buying a car for R240 000.00 you do not expect it to only be derivable for 5 months.

The poorest service i have ever received .

Dear Ruaul, thank you for making us aware. It is important to note that this is still the original clutch in your 2016 Nissan X-trail that was fitted during the manufacturing process. The clutch fitted to your vehicle has covered 108 000km prior to your clutch concern. Since purchase, you have traveled 17 000km. With this being said, the clutch is a component that wears over time. In order for us to assist with an expert opinion on the concern, kindly provide authorization for the removal of these components. Nissan Customer Care will contact you in this regard.  Kind regards Natasha Naidoo

I'm now lost for words.
After telling me its the clutch and the cost is R21000.00 and telling me its normal wear and tare and then changing to it might be abuse , you are telling me that you still haven't actually started stripping the car to properly check what went wrong ? For all we know something else might have gone wrong ?

Secondly are you happy with the fact that the cars you sell can only drive 17000 km's and then fail ?

PS:Still waiting for someone to contact me.

Dear Ruaul, the car travelled a 108 000km before the clutch required replacement.  You need to authorize the removal of the clutch in order for us to provide reason for replacement. Kind regards Natasha Nissan South Africa

I need to give auth that i except the R21000.00 quote in order to strip ? After being told whats wrong without stripping the car ? And the long and the short is if i do not except the R21000.00 quote nothing happens ?

Basically Nissan is saying either except the quote or nothing happens further ? This is blatant bullying and abuse against its customers.

Dear Ruaul, it is difficult to predict life expectancy on these components. They can vary from driver to driver, terrain  travelled, etc. As I have said, my team will engage with you to see how we can help. Kind regards Nissan SA

So in short my final feedback on Nissan. I strongly suggest no one ever purchases a Nissan with the expectation of any after sales service.

No one has given me feedback and now after phoning Nissan i finally went through to the workshop manager for the first time in 3 day's and after leaving messages for him to phone me and emailing them requesting they send me feedback on email. They still haven's stripped the car to fully inspect the failure and refuse to do so until i except the quote. The same quote they never sent to me.

i'm being handled like a small child with no one giving me official feedback or even trying to assist me. I'm left with no option but to fight this with Moisa or even taking legal action to try and get some reaction out of Nissan .

I will continue to register complaints everywhere i can and will not stop exposing Nissan and there non existing service to their customers.

On Hello peter alone in the last 3-4 months theirs numerous complaint of consumers and X trail /Qahsqai clutch failures. Yet they still feel i'm liable.

Will never ever purchase anything from Nissan again and will never stop telling everyone of this experience.
