No parts availability + no customer service
We had an accident on the 19th of March.
- Since then we are waiting. At the beginning, I was fighting with the insurer to speed thing up as I had the impression that they were taking their time but soon realized that Nissan South Africa was the body delaying things.
We have been waiting for parts to fix this car since. Like it is a new car, I can understand that some waiting would be required but in this case we are 3 month past the accident and we don't yet have the vehicle.
2 weeks ago the final parts arrived with great excitement. But unfortunately one of the smallest parts was the wrong one and did not correspond to the order against the VIN number.
The best they can do is for the arrival of this part on the 5th of June delaying again things. They say they escalated my problem to managers but it does not feel like it.
- I do not believe that Nissan has provided any assistance to speed up the process or to offer an alternative like car assistance while waiting.
- They have not tried to speed up the process of importing the part missing using DHL but the normal import route taking 5 to 6 times longer than DHL.
