No assistance - faulty radio
On 9 July I submitted my first complaint on Hello Peter regarding ongoing issues with my Nissan Qashqai, after previously raising the matter directly with Nissan branches as well as Nissan SA without resolution. This is now my third complaint on Hello Peter.
Since then, my vehicle has been taken to Nissan Little Falls twice for analysis — the first time for 2 days and the second time for 3 days. During these visits, no courtesy vehicle was provided. On the second occasion, I was advised that the radio would be removed and sent to Nissan SA.
When the radio was removed, additional concerns arose: my steering wheel was damaged and scratches appeared on the back of my car. I immediately reported this to Nissan Little Falls, who requested that I bring the car back so they could attempt to polish out the scratches. Although the marks were reduced, they are still visible, and the steering wheel damage remains unresolved.
The most recent update I received (last week) was that the matter is “still under investigation.” My radio issue is unresolved, and the condition of my vehicle has worsened since the initial service intervention.
I also noticed that attempts were made to clean the radio, but its appearance is now worse than before.
As a customer, I am very disappointed with how this has been handled. I purchased the vehicle with the expectation that the warranty and after-sales support would be honoured. To date, I feel this expectation has not been met.
I am seeking clarity on:
When the radio issue will be resolved;
How and when the steering wheel damage will be repaired;
What further steps Nissan will take to address the situation.
I trust Nissan will review this matter urgently to restore my confidence in the brand.
