Nissan Warranty Useless

On Friday 22 November 2019 I was driving home. On the way home without warning my vehicle broke down. All the electronics, breaks and power-steering of the vehicle immediately shutdown. It was with great difficulty that I managed to bring the vehicle safely to a standstill. This was an extremely stressful situation due to the fact that the breakdown happened on a steep downhill road, in peak traffic while my son was with me in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the nearest Nissan Service station namely Nissan Sinoville. On arrival I explained what happened with the vehicle to one of the Nissan Sinoville technicians. The technician’s initial findings revealed a possible clutch problem. I left the vehicle at the Nissan Service station and Leatichia from client services said that she will phone me with the formal findings. On Monday 25 November 2019 I was informed that it was indeed the clutch. A friend visited the Service station and on request Leatichia from the Service station Whattsapp photos of the stripped vehicle to me. Leatichia said that the vehicle broke down due to my driving style and that the cost of repair would be to the estimate of R20 000. My concerns are the following. 1) The vehicle is a 2017 model Nissan Qashqai which was purchased brand new from Nissan Hatfield with a five year/150 000km Warrantee. 2) The vehicle currently only has 19 000 km on the odometer. 3) The vehicle was serviced regularly at Nissan Hatfield at the required serviced intervals. 4) The vehicles last service was in July 2019 with the next service only due in July 2020. 5) No mention of any major problems with the vehicle was reported to myself by the service station after any one of the services. 6) From the photos received of the stripped vehicle and its parts, it can clearly be seen that the problem with the vehicle is not due to normal wear and tear or a specific driving style, but that there was a major fault with this vehicle. 7) The above-mentioned is confirmed especially in a vehicle that is regularly serviced, only two years old and with such low mileage. 8) I have been driving this route from 2006, during this time I have driven a VW Citi Golf and a VW Polo and experienced no mechanical breakdowns of this sort. What's funny is that a VW can withstand SA driving conditions, but a Nissan Qashqai can't. 9) Up to now Nissan has refused or neglected to send me any formal notification that the breakdown was due to "driver abuse", even though this was verbally communicated. I am greatly dependent on my vehicle to transport my son and I safely especially to our home, my work and his school. I have referred the matter to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of SA, but this matter is still under review after more than 2 months...
