Nissan sells outdated map navigation as new

I bought a new Nissan Qashqai with so-called Technopack in January 2015. The vehicle is fitted with on-board maps for navigation. When I bought the vehicle, I was assured that the SD card could be taken out during a service in order to update the maps. The maps (I later discovered) were 2013.
Now, after one year, there still are no new maps. All Qashqais and Xtrails (which have identical systems) have the same 2013 maps. Therefore - do not try and use your map system in any area with newer roads - it will show that you drive somewhere in the field!
Numerous e-mails to Nissan since September last year have produced no answer, other as \that they are working on the problem\".
How can Nissan sell new cars with outdated maps - and not telling customers that? Why pay more for such a system when it is outdated and not be used in new areas - precisely where it is needed most? And what did Nissan think in the first place when fitting the system as to how they will solve the \"problem\"? Other car manufacturers supply regular updates. "
