Nissan SA REFUSES to Assist with Recurring Brake Issues on My Magnite!
I am extremely disappointed with Nissan South Africa regarding my 2022 Nissan Magnite’s recurring brake failures. Despite multiple repairs and escalating the issue, Nissan SA is avoiding responsibility and ignoring a potential safety concern that many other Magnite owners are also facing.
Brakes failed within months of purchasing my Magnite. In April 2024, Nissan SA assessed my vehicle and stated that both the front brake pads and discs needed replacement. They initially quoted me R6,755.37 to replace both. After escalating the issue, they only replaced the brake pads under goodwill, despite previously saying the discs also needed replacing. Now, 10 months later, my brakes are worn out again (0.6mm pads, warped discs). Nissan SA is blaming “wear and tear”, even though they never fully replaced the parts they initially deemed necessary! If Nissan SA assessed in April 2024 that a full brake replacement was needed, why did they only replace the pads? Had they followed their own recommendation, I likely wouldn’t be experiencing these issues again so soon.
I opened a case with Nissan SA more than a week ago. I was told they were “waiting for documents,” yet I personally submitted them to avoid further delays. I repeatedly followed up, only to receive no response for days. Now, Nissan SA has refused to assist, despite clear proof that this is not normal wear and tear. Brakes are a critical safety component, yet Nissan SA is ignoring multiple reports of premature failures in Magnite vehicles.
Nissan SA – Do You Stand Behind Your Vehicles or Not? I expect a detailed technical report justifying this decision and a review by senior management. If Nissan SA refuses to assist, I will be forced to escalate the matter further.
@NissanSA – Will you take responsibility for recurring brake failures, or continue to ignore your customers?
