Nissan Randburg has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER #neverbuyanissan

Imagine taking your car in for something to be fixed and then getting a call by the Services Manager to say that he has crashed into the back of a taxi while test driving it!! This is exactly what happened with our Nissan Xtrail. It is now 6 weeks later and we still don't have our vehicle back from them! On top of all of this, it has utterly amazed me that not once have Nissan called to give us feedback on the progress of our vehicle except for the phone call about the accident. EVERY time, I've had to phone them to find out what is happening.

We sent our Xtrail in for a blown gasket to be repaired on Friday 3rd June and on Friday 17th June (2 weeks later) we received the shocking news that the car had been involved in an accident. Nissan Randburg said they would send the vehicle to the panel beaters to be fixed - no offer was made of a courteousy car and no apology from the Branch Manager.

On 22 June (5 days later) I had still not heard anything back about our car so I called to enquire. I demanded a courteousy car which I had to go and collect myself (no offer of delivering one to my house) at a time which suited Nissan Randburg (and not when it suited me). At that point, I was informed that my car was likely to be ready on Monday 27th June. Monday came and no phonecall.

3 weeks passed and I decided to call the Branch Manager, Dean Chater on 12 July to enquire about my car. He had left the office and I left a message with the receptionist to ask him to phone me back. No phone call. I then call on 14th July and he is busy on the phone, so I leave my details again with the receptionist - but she says she has them already and will send another email to the branch manager to call me back. No phone call. I then call him again an hour later to demand to speak to him. Eventually I get to talk to him and I ask him why he hasn't returned my 2 previous messages. He claims to have never received an email to request the he phone me which is a blatant lie as I have proof of 2 emails being sent to him with my correct details. He says he was aware of the accident but thought the Services Manager, Phillup van Blerk, had sorted everything out. Clearly NOT!!

He promises me that I will have my car delivered to me before COB on Friday 15th July and will keep me informed of the progress. I received no phone call from him or anyone for that matter on Friday until at 3:30pm I call the Nissan Head Office Customer car line to find out what is going on. They then call him to call me. Instead the Services Manager calls me to say my car is ready. I ask him why I have to phone him every time to get an update on my car - why can he not pick up the phone and speak to me - Customer 101 stuff!! Dean Chater clearly doesn't have the courage to sort this thing out. Another week goes by with no car and it costing me to drive their pathetic courteousy car around. #neverbuyanissanagain
