NISSAN QASHQAI SHIFT TO PARK PROBLEM
I drive a NISSAN QASHQAI 2022 model and I have been enjoying it, until I experienced a problem where I would get a message SHIFT TO PARK on the dashboard randomly as I'm driving. This is scary because it forces the car to stop immediately and I have to restart it. This started late December 2024. I reported it to Nissan Randburg on 22Jan 2025 and I was given a date to bring the car in on Monday 10Feb. Little did I know that my trauma was about to start. On Monday afternoon when I collected my car I was told everything is fine. It happened again on Tuesday and I called in to complain. I was told to bring it back on Wednesday morning and after the technicians checked it they told me it needed to be calibrated and I should bring it again on Thursday because thy had to borrow the calibration board from another branch. I took it in again the next morning hoping that the solution was found. I collected it the same afternoon and was reassured that it was now sorted. The same problem happened on Friday morning as I was driving to work and this time I wrote them an email because I'm tired of using my airtime for nonsense. I then got a call the following Tuesday from Lesego the branch manager, who promised to get an advisor to call me so we can agree on a day when I should bring my car in to be there for more than a day so that somebody there can drive it and see this error that I'm talking about. It's been a week and I'm still waiting, AND YES I AM STILL EXPERIENCING THE PARK TO SHIFT PROBLEM,DAILY. HONESTLY I REGRET BUYING THIS CAR...the instalment I'm paying monthly is not worth my recent experience of this car.
