Nissan Qashaqai 1.2T Acenta total FLOP!

Good day

I am writing out of frustration, i have been without my car for 4 months now, a 2014 Nissan Qashqai 1.2T Acenta. Initially it went in for a faulty timing chain belt, and the engine warning light was on, which never went off when they replaced the timing chain belt, after that the car never regained its power back. The whole of December and festive season i had no car, no courtesy car. Only in January i was given a courtesy car that i drove for 2 months, still during that period Nissan Stellenbosch could not fix my car. I was told they were struggling to switch the engine light off, and they were waiting for another part to assist with the warning light.

At the beginning of March i was told to fetch my car it was ready, but to my surprise there was no power what so ever. It was super sluggish and couldn't drive over inclines, it was a total headache to drive away from stop streets and traffic lights as it took forever to gain power at take-off. Whilst worried about the power, then there was a leak from the front. I took it in then it turned out to be some coolant box. When they gave it to me they told me it was sluggish and struggling to power-off, and told me to try it for a week. Now i am told they are busy with diagnosing it still, like really!! It's been 4 months now.

During my frustration i called the other Nissan dealerships and i was told that the new Nissan Qashqais have engine faults, and that they have resorted in replacing the engines, and never had complaints again. I went on the internet and saw that this was an international problem, and still when i told Nissan S.A. and Stellenbosch about the faulty engines they took it lightly, although other dealerships admitted that the new models's engines are faulty.

Easter is approaching, i do not have a car, it is a frustration and a struggle to get to work. I have been civil and too lenient with Nissan S.A. but this is now too much. I love the car but in future i do not see myself having any dealings with Nissan again.

Yours in despair, Portia
