Nissan Parts on back order with no ETA or updates from Nissan SA
I took my car into the dealership for an oil leak and on 19th September the dealership ordered parts from Nissan South Africa to address the leak. I was informed by the dealership on 25th September that my parts were on back order, I then contacted Nissan South Africa on *** as well as *** to find out the estimated ETA and determine whether Nissan South Africa would be able to assist with a vehicle in the meantime. As I type this it is the evening of 30th September and despite having a SAP tracking number as well as a customer service case number, Nissan South Africa has completely ignored my follow up emails (I have been reaching out to them daily). The agent assigned to my case (Palesa Nene) by Nissan South Africa has also not been available when I call, with her colleagues saying they will escalate the case to her and ask her to contact me however I have not received any updates from her. I have also reached out to the Nissan WhatsApp chat without any aid on that platform either. I am particularly concerned as my dealership had previously placed an order for a door lock mechanism from Nissan SA in March 2024; the part was only delivered to the dealership on 26 September 2024; 6 months later. Does this mean that this is the standard turn around time for parts delivery at Nissan South Africa? Could I possibly be without a car for 6 months?
