NISSAN - not the car to buy!!!

So unfortunately, after trying to sort it out with Nissan SA and the Nissan dealer, i have to post something.

It's all to easy for Nissan SA and the Nissan dealer to stand out of the water and not take responsibility. I bought a 2015 Xtrail last year for a Nissan dealer in the Western Cape, but from the start the car had issues. Oil leak after only two weeks, steering wheel not straight, bonnet vibrating that it almost seems like it's going to come off while driving. All this got fixed over time, but that meant we had to drive to the dealership with two cars, leave the Xtrail there and manage with one car because of no courtesy car. Since they worked on the oil leak the car aslo started missfiring and they can't find this fault since then. Missfiring just getting worse and all the dealership can say is "bring the car in so that we can test it again". The few times i mentioned the loose bonnet to the dealership, they said it's normal for a Xtrail because of the different shape the car has...! Never have i driven or seen any car that does this! Then, after collecting the car after its last service about a month ago, the dealership said they will have to replace the bonnet because there's something wrong....WOW! So now all of a sudden, after i mentioned it time and again. So they had to order a bonnet (luckily under the warranty) and it had to be replaced two weeks later. So what this meant is that we had to drive to the dealership with both our cars again, leave the Xtrail with them for a week and fetch it after the week. The dealership didn't even offer to come and fetch the car or return it, because it is after all a fault from Nissan's side. I spoke to the dealer principal and to Nissan SA, both of them just telling me that if i want to claim any travelling cost it must be claimed from the other party. So Nissan SA says i must claim from the dealership and the dealership saying i must claim from Nissan SA. Just hands in the air and not even trying to help or compensate anything. And what's best, the new bonnet now does the same again. Informed the dealership and not even a reply yet. Sent the dealership and Nissan SA a detailed summary of my travelling claim - no response!

Sorry Nissan SA and Nissan Paarl, unfortunately you are going in the wrong direction and after this will never buy or recommend a Nissan to anyone!
