Nissan Navara break line fail

Good day,

I have a Nissan Navara 2.3D, yesterday I was driving and had to stop suddenly my break hose burst. This almost caused me to have an accident as I had to swerve into oncoming traffic as my brakes failed and had to miss the car which turned out in front of me. Safety is important, is this a common fault on the Nissan Navara? I would like to have some feedback regarding this.
