Nissan Micra 2014 Model towed in for repairs after a month of purchase. 5th day still haven't received a report from Nissan nor feedback form the car dealership (Weiss Motors Stamford Hill) where i had bought a vehicle.

On the 27th April 2016 I walked in a Weiss Motors Stamford Hill dealership with the intention of buying a car. We were approached by the sales man whose name is Sirajh, he offered to help us and showed us different vehicles around the premises to which we found the Nissan Micra that was parked for sale in the premises suitable for us. We then negotiated on the same vehicle Nissan Micra, before long we agreed and signed up for it at a price of R97.000 that was finalised by our sales man and concluded on the deal. We signed all relevant document and drove the car home.

A week later I picked up some squeaky sounds when pressing the brake pads, I thought the noise will go away until the second week when I decided to contact my sales man Sirajh and informed him of the sounds when pressing the brakes. I didn’t get any feedback on the complaint as he promised to get back to me but didn’t do so.

On the 28th of May 2016 while driving along UMbumbulu main road the vehicle engine switched off in the middle of the main road. With other cars driving on the high speed behind our car. This was a very traumatic experience as everything was right with the car and then all of a sudden something went wrong when we least expected. I found myself stranded in the dark, afraid and in shock with my family too. I thank God that we were saved from a horrifying accident that could have happened. All of this is not what I had hoped for. It’s upsetting, embarrassing, and ruining my reputation.

The next day the 29th of May I then called the Nissan road side assistance, they organised a towing truck that towed the car from UMbumbulu to the Nissan Services Department (Ballito) the car was towed the same day. I contacted the Nissan Ballito Branch (Services) the following day the 30 May to follow up on the status of the car. The guy that picked up the phone told me he doesn’t have much to say about the car as it was not yet assessed and said there are no findings yet and asked me “why the car was brought to their Ballito Branch because its far” as I knew why the Towing Enterprise took the car there. Nissan Ballito failed to give me satisfying information about my car, and gave me a very cold service. The service record (booklet) for this car, I found to be some discrepancies/ inconsistency yet the Total Price of the car R97.000 included the service and delivery. R95.000-Selling Price+ R2000-Service and Delivery charges..and yet agai the car was not delivered but picked up from the car dealership (Weis motors StamfordHill)

I would expect that id get an opportunity to choose another car of the same value so I can be at ease and smile again. As I don’t feel comfortable and safe enough driving the same car after what has just happened. I don’t want to put myself and my family in the same risky situation we experienced with that Nissan Micra vehicle but nothing of that sort has been negotiated by the the car shop nor courtesy car arrangement has been brought to my attention.

Besides this frustrating experience, the inconvenienced has caused me to suffer additional cost as I lost the bag with money in the mist of all that as two men came up to help us move the car off the road.

,home.
