Nissan Magnite CVT
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but after a year of disappointment and unresolved issues, I feel it’s important to share my experience to help other potential buyers. I purchased a brand-new Nissan Magnite in 2023, believing that a new car would save me from the typical problems you might face with second-hand vehicles. Unfortunately, that assumption was completely wrong. If I could return, I’d choose a VW or even a Suzuki instead. It feels like Nissan has compromised on quality, and the Magnite clearly shows that.
The main issue that’s been a constant headache for me is the brake noise. From the moment I started driving the car, I noticed a strange grinding sound whenever I braked. I’ve taken it to the dealership several times, and even after they replaced the brakes, the noise hasn’t gone away. What’s even more frustrating is that I’ve seen other Magnite owners report the same issue, meaning Nissan is aware of the problem but hasn’t come up with a permanent fix. Instead, it feels like they’re just brushing it off.
After only a year, I’m already regretting this purchase. I expected better reliability and support from Nissan, but they’ve fallen short. I wouldn’t recommend this car to anyone until they address these persistent quality issues.
I have recently took the vehicle to the dealership to get the breaks checked again as the grinding noise got severe and was told the break pads needed to be changed after recently changing them, so it seems the dealerships have no idea as well what to do to fix this issue.
