Nissan Magnite - Catastrophic Safety Failures Resulting in Write-Off and Injury

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and alarm regarding the safety performance of my Nissan Magnite (2023 model), which has proven to be grossly inadequate, contrary to its advertised safety features.

On 18 November 2025, I was involved in a severe multi-impact collision affecting the front, back, and side of the vehicle. This incident has resulted in my vehicle being a complete write-off and has caused me significant personal injury, including a broken nose, cracked sternum and fractured ribs.

The details of the safety failures are as follows, which is particularly concerning given the extensive damage to the vehicle:

Brake System Failure: The accident was directly preceded by the catastrophic failure of the Original Nissan Brake components that were installed just one month prior to the incident. This brake replacement was the third required within two years of ownership, indicating a severe and potentially dangerous defect with the vehicle's braking system and/or components.

Airbag Deployment Failure: Despite the severity and multi-directional nature of the collision (front, back, and side impact), the vehicle's primary airbag system failed to deploy. This critical safety system malfunctioned, directly contributing to the severity of my injuries.

Seatbelt Safety Feature Failure: The primary seatbelt safety mechanism (e.g., pretensioner/lock-up feature) also failed to activate or function correctly during the collision, further compromising my safety and increasing injury risk.

The fact that the vehicle failed to perform as advertised on three fundamental safety fronts, brakes, airbags, and seatbelts, is completely unacceptable. My car, which was advertised and sold as a safe vehicle, failed to protect me during a severe multi-impact accident, leading to a total loss of the vehicle and significant injuries.
