Nissan is a ****

I've been here before and thought nissan would up their game. We bought our qashqai in 2017 and it was brand new. From day 1 there was a sound which I wouldn't know because besides being a woman I am not a mechanic. On all occasions when we took in the car for service we mentioned that sound. To a point that I decided to take in in for service at a different dealership hoping things would be different. There was a point when we took in the car especially for the car and we still weren't satisfied.

When I had to take in the car for the 75k service I went to limpopo as it was the lockdown. When I took the car in at a later stage they said they would just skip to the next service which is 90k. Not even a warning or option to pay a penalty or whatever.

Fast forward to last week The car breaks down in the middle of the freeway with a sound and the power not going up. Called nissan and they said we should bring it in. Next thing we are told that the turbo is dead and they won't fix it because we skipped a service. Whose idea was it to move to the next service? Did they mention that this would give us problems in future. What disgusts me even more is the service manager says one thing to us and another to nisaan south africa. He blatantly said we must take up the issue we will be helped but says to nissan that the sound we were complaining about was fixed by them ( this is where I ask for the evidence that the sound was fixed and a diagnosis of what the sound is).

I was in pain when I couldn't go bury my aunt last week because of this. As we speak I have been communicating with nissan south africa and they tell me they are still gathering documentation. How long does it take to get our service record from a dealership? I wrote on every service about the sound and that might explain the sudden "disappearance" of the records.

I am appalled at a service manager who will tell us to take up a matter with nissan sa while he claims to have fixed the sound we have been complaining about.

And I dont understand why I have to be the one to keep calling and asking for an update. That car is not even paid off and now they are telling me about 40k for the turbo. What about my complaint about the sound which existed from day 1 till date????

I have a reference number dating from 2019 when I complained about the sound problem and it seems like they take me for a joke.

What bores me even more is them claiming from 2019 that they can't get hold of me on the phone. Really???? Worse being told the person you are dealing with (Omphile Moseki) is busy and never gets back to me the next minute I am communicating with someone else I haven't even spoken to What nonsense is that? Nissan is not a brand u would buy on a normal day but was convinced by my mother because she was helping me buy the car and I don't believe in my next car purchase I would bother even considering it.
