Nissan Finance shameful excuse of service delivery

I received a call yesterday to determine if I have comprehensive vehicle insurance, which I would have verified, but the lady tried to sell an extended warranty for repairs and so forth, which I declined. She then dropped the call. Today I received a SMS stating that Nissan Finance tried to confirm details for the comprehensive insurance policy for my vehicle. This implies that I didn't answer my phone or that I blew the person from Nissan Finance off. This is not the case. If I don't want your extended repairs warranty, Nissan, this does not mean that I am discontinuing my insurance policy. When you try to phone the number Nissan gives, you wait a rediculous time before anybody answers it, and you as the client have to pay the telephone bills. The number isn't even toll free. While I am typing this I have been waiting for a consultant for an hour. Rediculous!
