My Disappointing Experience with the Nissan Magnite

I am not the type to rant about companies or give bad reviews, but after 3 years of bad service and not saying anything, I feel I am failing other consumers by staying silent. I bought a brand-new Nissan Magnite, thinking that opting for a new car instead of a second-hand one would spare me from the typical issues associated with used vehicles. Unfortunately, this decision has turned out to be one of the worst mistakes I've ever made. Nissan has really let me down with this car, and I genuinely regret not going for a VW. It feels like Nissan has sacrificed quality for quick profits, and this car is proof of that.

I've been facing three major issues with my Magnite since I bought it in 2021 when it first launched:

Brake Noise: Whenever I brake, there’s a weird sound. After seeing other reviews, it seems like I’m not alone in this, and Nissan is well aware of the problem. But despite multiple visits to the dealership and having my brakes replaced, the issue persists. It’s frustrating that they haven't been able to permanently fix this, and it feels like they’re downplaying the severity of it.

Electrical Short Circuit: The car has a persistent issue where it randomly loses power and needs to be jump-started. This problem reared its head while I was driving from Cape Town to Johannesburg, which was incredibly inconvenient and dangerous. Despite assurances that this issue was fixed, it keeps happening. I can’t trust my car to start reliably anymore.

Electrical Cables Noise: Recently, there’s been a new problem with the electrical cables making strange sounds. Given my past experiences, I’m not optimistic that this will be resolved anytime soon. It’s yet another issue that reflects poorly on the overall build quality of the car.

I bought this car hoping for peace of mind, but I’ve been left with constant headaches. My uncle has been driving a Nissan 1400 for years without major issue, yet my brand-new Magnite has been nothing but trouble from the start. It’s sad to see how much Nissan’s quality has declined. I’m deeply disappointed and wish I had never purchased.
