Mis informed

I purchased my Nissan Qashqai in February 2016 and received excellent service, in December 2017 I had a problem with my vehicle where it wouldn't start I took it to Nissan Highveld secunda and was told that the battery needed to be changed. After enquiring with the workshop Manger Tinus and admin Dawn I was told to pay R1640 cash in order to get a new battery and I will be reimbursed the full amount within 7-14 working days because my battery is still under warranty

To my dismay on the 2/1/2018 I was only reimbursed an estimate of R470 when I called to enquire why I was only refunded that amount Dawn told me that's how the Warranty works... now why wasn't I told this when I paid the R1640 that I'm not going to get all my money back

I then called Nissan south Africa customer care and spoke to Yuvanne u made contact with secunda highveld and he reported back to me that they will not pay anything more and the amount that was paid to me is correct and I must take vat into consideration

Again why wasn't I told prior to having the new battery installed

The vehicle was not even 24 months old and in any case I had traded it in for the brand new Xtrail if I knew I'm going to pay 1640 for a battery I wouldnt have bothered because I sold the vehicle anyway so I was highly highly misinformed by Nissan

Next time clearly make the customer know what the Warranty covers and what is does not as far as I'm concerned I was told by Dawn the full amount will be paid back to me because my battery and vehicle is still under Warranty and thats what I expect
