Latent defect on seat
Nissan accepted responsibility (at 60 000km) for the replacement of the driver's seat due to the configuration of the seat adjustment knob which is so positioned as to squash the edge of the seat thus wearing the cloth seat.

The seat was replaced but at 90 000km the same problem developed - clearly a latent defect.

This was reported to our local dealer Herm**** Nissan who took photographs of the damage nothing further was heard from them and on constant query as to progress on the claim I was advised that I would have to pay for the repair at an upholsterer.

I complained to Nissan SA and was eventually, after many emails, advised that the damage \was caused by external factors"

Clearly this was not a satisfactory answer and my further emails have been ignored"""
