Intelligent Forward Collision
I bought the new Nissan Navara in January as a demo the car had less than 100km. In two weeks the Intelligent Forward Collision system will automatically activate itself out of nowhere (without any object in front of the car), the car was booked in Nissan Sinoville, no one believed me as to date I doubt if the technician followed a longer process before clearing faults of doing screen shoots pictures.
I was called in to collect the car 3 months later am experiencing the very same problem when am approaching certain look like dropped bridges initially it was giving issues when am overtaking another vehicle.
Take note the car doesn't warn you it just apply harsh breaking in the middle of the road.
I have nicely asked the dealership (DTM Helderberg) and Nissan SA to either do goods exchange or cancel the deal, both are not willing to listen to me.
I clearly outlined how the car have affected my driving confidence whenever am overtaking or approaching bridges I can't stop overthinking of what is going to happen next.
I got a call after 4 days of dropping the car at a delerahsip that I must come collect the car is fixed. I advent yet went for collection as indicated I doing have any confidence in the car.
Is it an isolated incident? Did they give me such car on purpose since it was a demo on a good price?
I have so many questions but if given an opportunity I will never ever buy any Nissan brand. their customer service is the lowest so far.
One of the managers said to me, go take your car it happened twice etc it's not a lot. My question is, am I supposed to be involved in a car accident and someone die to release and accept that it's a serious issue?
I just saw from one article online that indeed overseas to some model of Nissan a lawsuit was files regarding the system.
