Frustrating Ordeal #Nissan SA #Nissan George

We have been without our Nissan Xtrail since the 26 February. It has been sitting at DTM Nissan George since then to replace a fuel pump and injectors due to Petrol Attendant error of putting petrol in a diesel car which the Petrol Station in question has cleared for repairs at their expense. After almost a week of hearing nothing from Nissan George regarding the repairs I went there personally to follow up and was advised that the person who should be giving me feedback is on leave (and nobody bothered to follow up on their side) had not given us the information that the fuel pump they had received was not in working order and another one had been ordered but the expected arrival date was only 14 April 2022. I queried why so long and was told that they couldn't get spares any sooner from Nissan SA. I advised them that the Xtrail is the only transport my wife has and we have a child in school that needs to be dropped off and collected every day and that we had borrowed a friends car in the interim but this could not carry on. Please could they follow up with Nissan SA as we needed the car. We were advised the next day that the part is only expected 14th April and that there was nothing they could do (and it appeared that having no transport was not important as no curtesy vehicle was offered) . Several days later I complained directly to Nissan SA advising them of the above. Nissan SA customer service phoned me and I explained the whole story and the problem of no transport etc and was told they would get back to me. Two days later I was phoned that they had found a fuel pump and were couriering it to George who would have it the next day Friday 25th March (exactly 1 month my car has been at DTN Nissan George). I heard nothing from Nissan George on Friday nor Monday so I sent a message to Nissan SA querying what was happening. On Wednesday I got a call from Nissan SA customer service advising me the fuel pump that had been couriered was also not working. I asked how was it possible that 2 fuel pumps flown to George were not working??? I was told that the replacement fuel pump was only expected 14th April 2022 (back to square one) but that Nissan SA was following up with Nissan George to provide a curtesy vehicle. It is now Friday and not a peep from Nissan. So we have been borrowing a car at great inconvenience to personal friends for 33 days and counting with no explanation of how 2 fuel pumps for the Nissan Xtrail are not in working order. The greatest frustration however is that no one gives me feedback unless I ask what the hell is going on. This has greatly damaged my trust in the Nissan brand.

Dear Nissan South Africa,

so after a month and 8 days of waiting on a part from Nissan I still have not received a proper explanation why this is taking so long nor how its possible that 2 fuel pumps sent from Nissan SA to George arrive broken. Nor do we even get a curtesy vehicle from DTM Nissan George and have to borrow vehicles to get our daughter to school and back. Quite frankly, first and last Nissan I will ever buy.
