Extremely Disappointed – Faulty Nissan Qashqai and Poor Support
I purchased a brand-new Nissan Qashqai in November 2023. Sadly, this has turned into one of the most frustrating and disappointing vehicle experiences I’ve ever had.
Within days of delivery, I had a puncture warning. Then came brake squealing, a screen bubble, reverse camera issues, and windscreen sprayers that have never worked. The service light failed to appear when due. The screen now looks damaged despite no misuse, and I’ve been told the cause is “unknown.”
I’ve visited two dealerships (North West Nissan and Little Falls Nissan), made multiple return visits for unresolved problems, and have been given conflicting advice. At one point, I was told “all Nissan brakes make noise” – something other Qashqai owners I’ve spoken to say is untrue. After finally replacing my brakes and discs (on a 1-year-old vehicle), the noise disappeared — confirming the issue was never addressed properly.
I’ve also had windscreen repairs suggested for chips that never existed — confirmed by my insurance provider’s technician.
Meanwhile, my sister bought the same vehicle (a demo) at the same time and has had none of these issues.
The customer support from Nissan SA and dealerships have been slow, defensive, and unhelpful. For a new vehicle, this is not what is expected. I feel completely let down and cannot recommend Nissan based on this experience.
