DONT BUT NISSAN 900T
I purchased a demo 2018 Nissan Micra 900T in 2019 and i have had non stop issues with the body work on the car and probably the worst service any dealership has to offer.
It started when i got a call the day i was supposed to collect the car, the salesman Deon (Which has left) when he gave me a call saying he has done me a favor and added a couple extras to the car, i thought that was really nice of Nissan and Deon only to find out that over 12k worth of extras i never requested were put on the car. I decided to let it go and a couple days later i noticed that the bonnet did not line up on the car. I reported the issue and was told its a factory fault and most of the Nissan`s come out the factory like this. After a couple weeks and ME following up with Nissan, they finally collected the car and repaired the bonnet. A couple weeks after that, i noticed that the door didn't line up either, the issue was reported and almost a month later after me kicking and screaming they came to collect the car and repaired the door, they delivered my car back to me the door 10x worse that it originally was. I then reported the issue and someone from Nissan came and said they would repair the vehicle in the parking lot where I work. How's that for professionalism? Since day 1, one of the main reasons I purchased the car was for the android auto feature, I don't know how many times I have taken my car in to get this resolved, i eventually changed dealerships because I wasn't happy with the service from Nissan EC. I took the car to Group 1 Nissan in Utenhage expecting better service. My car was sent in for Rust inspection and for Android auto to be fixed, I got my car back without the rust inspection done and they said they have fixed the android auto only to find out they didn't even know what android auto is. They kept on testing the the bluetooth which was never a problem. After explaining what android auto was, including me sending the dealership youtube videos and also pictures, they told me to bring the car in and they will have to take my head unit out and send it in. I knew they didnt know what they were doing as i know you need the USB port to upgrade the firmware but i sent it in anyways, they delivered my car back without the radio and said it will take about two weeks. Two weeks later, i had to keep calling the dealership to find out when they will be putting it back and eventually was told i could bring my car back to get it put back in, it has been fixed. My car was delivered to me and the 1st thing I did was test the android auto which still didn't work. A couple days after that, I noticed that my cars roof has cracked and started rusting along the doors on either side of the car (Back to the rust inspection that was supposed to be done) I reported the issue and was told to bring the car back in so they car send it in to the panel beater to get fixed which I agreed. I took three days leave as I was going to be without a car. The car was supposed to be picked up 1st thing in the morning, Group 1 Nissan eventually rocked up just before 4pm to collect the car. The staff told me they completely forgot. At this stage I have had it with Nissan and their service, i reported the issues that I've had to Nissan SA. They tried to assist me to get these issues resolved and decided I will rather let them repair the car and get everything sorted out and Nissan SA closed the case. The dealership didn't call me or email me for almost two weeks so i decided to follow up, their excuse this time was that they don't have any courtesy cars available. I find it very hard to believe that a car dealership doesn't have any cars available.
I have once again opened another case with Nissan SA and will have to wait and see if anything happens this time.
The reason I'm posting this is so that everyone can see the poor quality of the Nissan Micra 900T and the poor service you get from Nissan dealerships. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID AND PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE.
All the pictures of the poor quality and the roof cracking and rusting is available if anyone would like to have a look.
Be careful when buying a Nissan! To this day, all the issues i have with my car are still there and the dealerships dont seem to care.
