Do not purchase a Nissan Magnite!

Looks can truly be deceiving! I purchased a Nissan Magnite - Acenta Plus CVT 1.0 in October 2023 and can honestly say that I've never felt more disappointed.

For one, the dealership (Motus Nissan - Menlyn), just put a bow on the car on called it day... the after sales on their vehicles is non existent!

A few weeks after driving the vehicle, I noticed that the brakes made a squeaking, s****ing sound, which is not normal for a BRAND NEW VEHICLE! When I called the sales person who sold me the vehicle, she simply advised that the brakes seems to be a general issue on the vehicle because the vehicle was manufactured in India. I advised that this was unacceptable and that I would be traveling for the holidays, so I need the vehicle to be sorted.

She advised that I book the car in and the workshop would check the car. I also complained about the front windscreen wipers. Once I got the vehicle back, brakes seemed fine again, until i did about 1****m's and then it sounded like I was driving a bus/truck again.

Had to book it in again twice to which they claimed they just need to clean something because it's very sensitive to dust, until eventually in October 2024, when my vehicle was due for it's first service, they decided to replace my brakes & wiper blades. By November, the screeching and s****ing sound was back.

I eventually contacted another dealership, to see if anyone else will attempt to make the customer happy. The car had to be evaluated and they confirmed the same old story... the brakes or drums needed to be cleaned.

I'm back to square one again, with my car sounding absolutely horrific. The wipers are a hazard and when I asked the other dealership to check them, they advised that because it was replaced in October 2024, it can only replaced after a year again, as per terms & conditions. So I have to risk my life daily with the incredible weather we've been having and have to settle for ****py brakes, just because Nissan cannot come up with a better solution for their customers, apart from saying it was manufactured in India!

This is not my first vehicle, it is the first time purchasing Nissan, but rest assured, it will be the last time I purchase Nissan!

I have spoken to several other drivers of the Nissan Magnite and even other dealerships, who all confirm that they have been having the same issues and Nissan SA refuses to make the necessary changes. Several dealerships have even confirmed how many Magnites are being sold/traded in because of pathetic service and non existent after sales service.

It's almost as if you're forcing people to lose their warranty, by putting PROPER brakes in their vehicles. Daylight *******!

Companies are buying fleets of this vehicle blindly, but I do hope that both they & individuals get to read this review before making a huge mistake!

I received a call on Friday advising that my query/complaint was escalated and that the dealership will call me back. Today I get an SMS saying that Nissan SA cannot get a hold of me. Even though I don't have a single missed call on my phone. I called the number back and got disconnected 3 times after getting through to the agent Betty. I requested a call back and even provided an alternative number, but still nothing. Now I have to take time out to constantly follow up. This is ridiculous & pathetic customer service!!!
