Complaint against Nissan
QUERY CONCERNING VEHICLE SERVICES : NISSAN ALBERTON
Nissan Almera : 2002 Model – REG NO NFG082GP
I took my car for major service at Nissan Alberton in March 2017 and I was told the car is ready on 31 May 2017 , I had trust that everything was in order for the time it went and the trust that I had in Nissan , but driving the car I felt it wasn’t okay at all and I took it back to Nissan since the car was giving me problems, I could smelling the clutch, it was smoking and slowing down.
The car was taken back by Nissan on the same day (2017.05.31) and got it back 12 July 2017 and I asked about the next service so that I keep good track of the service and they told me I can bring it after 12 months. In February 2018 I checked water and oil at the Petrol Station for the first time after the service and I was told they can’t pour water in the water pump since there’s oil in there. I parked it since that day because I was going on holiday, upon my return I phoned Nissan Alberton about my concern on 7th March 2018 and was told to bring it back the following day, taking it there, I was called during the day quoting me R22 000 to fix the problem.
I paid R36 655.90 for the full service initially requested. Taking the car back they’re telling me to pay R22 000.00 to fix the problem of water mixed with oil in the water pump which didn't have that problem when I took it in for the service.
My concern is that:
- what was it that they have done in my car that has cost me so much money,
- my car has never mixed water with oil eversince, even when I took it to Nissan it was not for that problem
- I’ve been a sole driver of that car since I bought it in 2003 and parts which were replaced were still original parts
- why does it have to be my problem to fix the engen for R22 000.00 after they damaged my car
- I am now using Public Transport to work through Nissan’s negligence
I find this very much unfair on my side after paying such a whole lot of money and heart broken
