Can't assist with Radio reset
Yesterday out of the blue my Nissan Juke did not want to start, it sounded like the battery was flat.
On a second attempt my vehicle did start, but the radios asked for a pin code.
I bought the vehicle second hand and was not aware of the card you receive with the radio pin.
I called Nissan Centurion and was advised that in order to reset my radio they will need to remove the radio to get the serial number and this will cost R750.
Now I have to book the vehicle in and pay R750 just to retrieve a radio pin?

How is it possible that the number can't be retrieved by using the VIN or engine number?
Surely the radio serial number should be linked to my vehicle's details or be on file or Nissan should be able to reset it without removing the radio?
Thank you for making us aware of your concern. Please note that as communicated to you by Atlantis Nissan, the charge is related to the removal of the radio as the pin required is not VIN specific but radio specific. We apologise for the inconvenience. Atlantis Nissan will contact you shortly to see how they can accommodate you.
Kind regards
